Project Overview

Venergy Solar partnered with Northline, one of Australia’s premier national logistics companies, to deliver a combined 200 kW solar PV system across their Adelaide and Bundamba facilities. The installations, each featuring high-efficiency Trina Solar panels and Sungrow inverters, showcase the company’s continued investment in innovation and clean energy.

This collaboration is part of a broader sustainability strategy aimed at reducing operational costs and lowering carbon emissions across Northline’s logistics network.

“We are committed to taking real, measurable steps toward sustainability. This solar project is one of many initiatives we’ve implemented to future-proof our operations and reduce our environmental impact.”

The Challenge

Northline faced increasing energy costs and the need to meet growing sustainability targets, all while maintaining uninterrupted logistics operations. The solution had to be deployed with zero disruption to daily throughput while aligning with existing energy-efficiency systems such as LED lighting upgrades and motion-sensor infrastructure.

The Solution

Venergy Solar designed and delivered a 200 kW rooftop solar system, installed as two 100 kW arrays in SA and QLD. Each site used 200 Trina Solar panels supported by high-performance Sungrow inverters. Installation was carefully timed to avoid interference with logistics activities and coordinated with site managers to ensure seamless integration.

The system was also aligned with Northline’s broader ESG framework, contributing measurable results to their internal sustainability reporting.

The Results

In its first year, the system is projected to generate 365,000 kWh of clean electricity—resulting in $164,250 in annual energy cost savings. This output is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 350 tonnes per year, equivalent to planting 5,840 trees annually.

With a payback period of just 4.3 years, the system offers long-term cost savings while demonstrating Northline’s commitment to environmental responsibility and operational efficiency.
