Project Overview

Green Leaves Early Learning is a privately owned provider of premium early education and care across Australia. With purpose-built centres designed for innovation, care, and sustainability, Green Leaves is dedicated to exceeding traditional education standards. To align their operational goals with their environmental values, Green Leaves partnered with Venergy Solar to install a 20 kW solar power system at one of their South Australian centres.

This solar initiative represents a step toward long-term sustainability and supports their vision of creating nurturing environments for future generations—not just indoors, but in the wider world.

“Green Leaves Early Learning is deeply committed to sustainability, not only through our educational philosophy but also in the way we operate our centres. Installing solar with Venergy was a natural step that supports our values while also reducing our environmental footprint and operational costs.”

The Challenge

Operating a modern, well-equipped early learning centre comes with high daytime energy demands, especially with climate control, lighting, and educational technologies in constant use. Green Leaves needed a sustainable, cost-effective energy solution that aligned with their environmental ethos.

The Solution

Venergy Solar delivered a 20 kW commercial-grade solar system tailored to meet peak daytime usage. The system integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure, using high-efficiency panels and smart inverters to maximise performance and savings.

The Results

The 20 kW solar system installed at Green Leaves Early Learning now generates approximately 20,000 kWh of clean solar energy annually, significantly reducing their dependence on grid electricity and enhancing energy resilience. In the first year alone, the centre achieved over $9,000 in electricity bill savings. This transition to renewable energy has also strengthened their sustainability credentials, aligning perfectly with the organisation’s environmental values. The investment not only supports long-term operational savings but also positions Green Leaves as a leader in environmentally responsible early childhood education.
