Project Overview

ASIS Scientific, South Australia’s largest owned and operated laboratory supply company, has been at the forefront of scientific innovation since 1997. With a product catalogue boasting over 14,000 items and a team with over a century of combined expertise, ASIS Scientific supports research institutions across Australia and beyond.

As part of their commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency, ASIS Scientific partnered with Venergy Solar to install a 30 kW solar energy system at their Hindmarsh facility. This move reinforces their leadership not just in scientific excellence, but in environmental responsibility as well.

“Sustainability is a core part of our commitment to scientific progress. Partnering with Venergy Solar allowed us to take a significant step toward reducing our environmental impact while improving operational efficiency. The solar system aligns with our values and supports the future-focused mindset we bring to every aspect of our business.”

The Challenge

Running a warehouse and headquarters with high equipment usage and ongoing operational demands meant ASIS Scientific was facing significant and rising electricity costs. As a forward-thinking business in a technical field, they needed a clean energy solution that matched their innovative identity.

The Solution

Venergy Solar designed and installed a 30 kW commercial solar system, tailored to meet the site’s peak daytime energy needs. Using high-efficiency solar panels and inverters, the system was seamlessly integrated into the facility’s power infrastructure.

The Results

ASIS Scientific now benefits from approximately 30,000 kWh of clean energy generated each year. In just the first year, the system delivered over $13,500 in electricity savings. The switch to solar has significantly reduced their carbon emissions and strengthened their environmental credentials. It has also improved long-term cost control and reduced reliance on grid-supplied power. Importantly, the move aligns with the sustainability values of their global scientific clientele.
