WA Households: Don’t Miss the Battery Rebate.

Unlock Big Savings for Homes and Businesses

In South Australia you can access three types of incentives for solar and batteries.

These are the federal rebate, the Powering Business Grant, and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) cashback offers.

For SA Households: You Can Combine Federal Rebates and VPP Cashback:

Federal Rebate
  • Solar Panels: Through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, you receive an upfront discount on solar panels via Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs). The value depends on your system size.
  • Battery: From 1 July 2025, the Cheaper Home Batteries Program will offer approximately 30% off battery costs.
SA Virtual Power Plant Cashback

If you connect your battery to an eligible Virtual Power Plant you can receive additional cashback or bill credits. VPP participation can also provide ongoing income through selling stored energy back to the grid at premium rates.

For Small-to-Medium Businesses and Not-for-Profits: Extra Grants Available
